This past week the Giants defeated the division leading Dallas Cowboys in what was a do or die game for them. Not only did they win the game, but they did it in dramatic fashion with two touchdowns in the last 3 minutes of the game. That win propelled them into a tie with the Dallas Cowboys; both squads are now 7-6 on the year. There are a number of choices in the last 3 weeks of the year, but the most obvious way to the playoffs for the Giants is to defeat the Washington Redskins this Sunday and then beat the Dallas Cowboys on the last game of the year. This past week the Texans defeated the Bengals and in the process, won the American Football Conference South division championship. They’re going to now be contending for a higher seed in the playoffs including a bye in the first round. Their win a week ago was furthermore their 7th consecutively. The Houston Texans are a formidable squad now and are gathering momentum proceeding into the playoffs. At 10-3, they are tied with the Steelers, Ravens, and Patriots for the top record in the AFC. In the first round of the playoffs, the leading two teams will get a bye. With this type of drive, the Houston Texans are anticipated to have a formidable incentive to finish the year with a formidable effort. Continue reading →

This is a big game for the Bengals. At 7-6 they are still in the running for the 2nd wildcard spot. The Bengals need to win their outstanding three matches as they are one game behind the Jets and evened up with the Titans and Oakland Raiders. This is a huge request, but commences this Sunday with the 2-11 Rams. Out of their final three matches, this is going to be their easiest.
